How RS Talent Solutions helped Alpha

Alpha was founded by experienced banking professionals with the aim of creating effective training solutions that accelerate the growth of early careers talent and generate high-performing teams and success in the financial markets.


They’re a dynamic and energetic team. Through their expert, global team of corporate training specialists, they deliver customised, experiential and innovative training programmes that teach, develop and inspire the best talent.


Their roots are in the UK, with a successful office in Singapore, and further offices being developed in New York and Abu Dhabi.

  • Average turnaround - 31 days from job briefing to offer accepted
  • Interview to hire ratio - 2.5:1
  • CV send to interview ratio - 1.5:1
  • Increased applicant rate by 64%
  • Built a talent function from 0 to 3 people with a fully workable ATS

The Challenge

Alpha Development were looking to make a large amount of continuous hires over a period of 18 months. Including 5 senior Leadership hires. All hires would span across UK, North America, Middle East and Asia.


Whilst they had a HR Manager in place, they knew the recruitment task was a large one and needed to allow the HR Manager to focus on other large HR Projects. They also wanted to hire a HR Director to help them establish more robust people policies and practices to aid the high growth phase and beyond.


As a result, Alpha Development tasked RS Talent Solutions with not only filling a large number of hires, but also advising and implementing internal practices which would allow Alpha Development to build their very own internal talent function that would be fit their future growth.



The Solution

A dedicated internal recruiter to manage all the hiring needs which included:

  • Direct Outreach (Headhunting)
  • Placing Job Ads Across Multiple Platforms
  • Sharing Employer Branding Content to Increase Direct Applicants
  • Managing the Whole Interview Process from Screening to Offer, Acceptance and Reference Tracking

We also offered a Client Lead to:



  • Create a strategy to develop an internal talent hub fit future needs and growth
  • We helped create and implement a robust and trackable Applicant Tracking System
  • Assisted with Employer Brand Content to increase direct applicants
  • Advised on improving and enhancing the hiring process to help better candidate selection
  • Set up internal LinkedIn Recruiter Licenses
  • Help recruit a HR Director, a talent acquisition assistant and Talent Acquisition Manager to take over and run the internal talent function
  • Improve all ratio’s across the business to help reduce recruitment costs, reduce time spent on recruitment and improve efficiency and processes

Results Summary


  • We filled 100% of all client vacancies within contracted period
  • We secured all 5 senior leadership hires for the business as well as 21 other hires in London, New York, Abu Dhabi and Singapore
  • We established and set up an internal talent function fit for a future internal talent team
  • We assisted in hiring a HR Director, and two talent Acquisition specialists to continue running the talent function
  • We drove down recruitment spend with a hard saving of 47% against using traditional recruitment. This equated to a hard saving of £129,562
  • We increased efficiencies across the hiring process saving the senior management team hundreds of hours
  • We helped increase the employer brand and direct application rate by 64% allowing future savings by not having use external recruiters
  • Created a recruitment tech stack that will allow the business to attract, track and engage talent easily and efficiently
